FILA-Meditative Hike/Trail Clean Up

FILA December 14: Meditative Hike/Trail Clean Up and sustainability open discussion

Where: 1720 Langhorne Road, Lynchburg VA 24504 at 4:00 pm

Join interns Chris Walsh and Andrew McCracken for our Cosby Woods FILA event Saturday December 14th. Both Chris and Andrew are University of Lynchburg Students who have been volunteering at Camp KBY for two years. For this event we will be meeting at the Blackwater Creek Trail at 1720 Langhorne Road Lynchburg VA 24504 at 4pm. Upon arrival you will be equipped with a trash bag and gloves and will be asked to aid in helping clean up the surrounding area as we walk .5-1 miles into the trail. As we return to the cars you will be welcome to engage in an open conversation about sustainability with a focus on the importance of preventing and acting against littering. After this Socratic-style discussion we will lead you into a nature meditation as we return to our vehicles. This FILA event is estimated to last 1-2 hours and we encourage you and your families to join us as we embrace the adventures there are to find in Lynchburg. We are looking forward to seeing you soon!
