CAMP SET SAIL

During this week, campers will experience all the traditional activities of camp for four days, with the added bonus of sailing! Campers will be exposed to the fundamentals of sailing terminology, knot tying, navigation, and sailing skills. They will have one day of sailing with Smith Mountain Lake’s Virginia Inland Sailing Association (VISA) where they will go out with an instructor, sailing the “Flying Scot” sailboat.  Each boat will be staffed by a KBY-certified lifeguard staff member and (VISA) instructor.

On Thursday, July 19, campers will leave the camp and travel to Smith Mountain Lake, returning to the KBY facility between 5:00 and 5:15 pm. A rain date is scheduled for the following day, July 20. Parents will be notified of any changes to the schedule. This camp fills quickly! Do not delay.

Camp Set Sail is for children ages 9-13. Cost is $285 for the week.
