5:30 pm Campfire & Hobo Packs at Camp Kum-Ba-Yah
Join us as we gather around an evening campfire. We’ll share stories while create our own hobo packs to cook in the fire. For those who want to wander, we will explore the cool, night time woods. This time of year is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the creepy crawlies of the world and build connections with, and empathy for, animals with bad reputations. We will eventually venture back to the fire to warm up and end the night with s’mores!
Because there is food preparation involved, please RSVP by emailing CKBYEvents@gmail.com and let us know how many plan to join you for FILA on November 7. OR find us on Facebook and RSVP to the FILA Campfire & Hobo Dinner on November 7.
The mission of this family nature club is to help families in Lynchburg expose their children to the wonderful benefits of the outdoors. And, to meet other like-minded families. FILA events are scheduled monthly, open to all ages and typically free unless there is a cost associated with a partnering organization. Events may include hikes, canoeing, campfire cookouts, nature scavenger hunts, visiting a local state or national park, camping, etc.
